Comment | On the 27th and 28th of August, 1937, excavations on the "Hochwindenkopf" above the Amberg Castle revealed a settlement reaching perhaps into the younger Stone Age, but at least until the early Bronze Age, which was surrounded by a stone wall at the beginning of the Hallstatt period has been. This fortification, the "Stadtschrofen" of Feldkirch, the "Heidenburg" in Göfis and probably the Hohe Wacht secured the entrance to the Walgau, whose center was the Montikel at Bludenz. |
